GENERAL INFO
The villa is famous for its romantic and quiet surroundings in harmony with nature. Guests love to gaze at the caldera view and especially to watch the spectacular sunsets from our terrace, accompanied by the silhouette of Maria Callas.
Features such as the domes, vaults, interior windows and skylights characteristic of Santorinian architecture are combined with tasteful decoration and modern furniture.
ACCOMODATION
The villa has a characteristic atmosphere of romance, with hints of distant destinations and evidence of the lure of the sea. Memories of the sea spring up directly and indirectly from among the furniture and objects. Each one of the hand-painted wooden chest covers that once belonged to Mytilenian seamen has a story to tell. Fabulously framed English, Italian and German nautical maps, ranging in date from both the 16th to the 19th century adorn the interior.
The Greco-Roman bathroom has been lined with pristine white marble, accented with black detail. There is a collection of 19th century charcoal sketches of male nudes by an anonymous Greek artist, an 18th century Russian icon depicting the stern figure of St Nicholas, patron saint of the sea, and there is one of the great Picasso rare ceramic pieces bearing three incised relief fish, which even the most demanding of visitors would not expect to find in a hotel.
The villa has 1 double bedroom, 1 Greek marble bathroom, and a sitting room with dining area .

LOCATION
On Santorini, legend is almost indistinguishable from reality. And there, on the island reputed to have been the land of Atlantis, the five suites of the are perched on a thousand-foot cliff overlooking one of the most spectacular views in the Mediterranean.
Dorians, Venetians and Turks occupied Santorini, but its most influencial early inhabitants were the Minoans.
They came from Crete some time between 2000 and 1600 BC, and the settlement of Akrotiri dates from the height of their great civilization.
The formation of Santorini is due to various geological occurences, many volcanic eruptions and earthquakes so violent as to change the shape of the island several times.
Thirty cubic kilometers of magma spewed forth and a column of ash 36 kilometers high jetted into the atmosphere. So much magma was ejected that the magma chambers of the volcano gave way and the centre of the island collapsed, leaving a caldera with high cliffs-one of the worlds most dramatic geological sights.
